Whether you’re an accountant, graphic designer, computer programmer, or engineer, chances are there is someone out there who will pay you for that skill set. The beauty of freelance work is that you’re working for yourself. You choose what clients you want to work for, with the freedom to set your price. Sites like Upwork and Fiverr provide freelancers with the ability to market their services to a massive audience.
The best example of affiliate marketing is Wirecutter, owned by The New York Times. The content is extremely well done and reader-centric, with meticulous testing and fully transparent reviews of the pros and cons of various products. Wirecutter, in other words, passes the first litmus test of a successful affiliate site: whether or not the content truly helps a visitor make a purchase decision, even if the affiliate links weren’t included.

It’s a well-known site with tons of surveys. Swagbucks boasts high cash-back rates and time-bound propositions that will bring you up to 20% cashback. You can also earn points for shopping online, watching videos and using their search engine, and then turn your bonuses into gifts. The site isn’t available in every corner of the world, but its list of countries expands constantly and includes 11 states right now. 
If someone asks for a marketing writing sample, send them marketing writing samples. Don’t send a finance article. Or a fitness one. It’s hard for a hiring manager to know how well you understand the niche’s industry if they can’t see a relevant writing sample. Apply to opportunities suited to your skills and experience. Also, if your pitch doesn’t have a list of links to writing samples, it’s going to get ignored.
